2. Wear Cotton Clothes: Make sure that you baby wears cotton clothes instead of woolen or synthetic material that can cause skin irritation and make it difficult to breathe. Cotton material is the best to soothe the skin and avoid flare-ups in babies.

3. Do not touch the baby with soapy chemicals or detergents: It is common for moms to wash clothes with detergents or use chemical soaps, and then pick the baby. This can be irritating to the baby's skin; so it is better to avoid touching or picking the baby with chemicals on your hand. 5. Keep pets and dust away: Keep your baby away from pets because the hair can be irritating to the skin. If your room has a lot of old books or files, keep your baby away from the room. Clean your baby's room; use soft furnishings and keeps the temperate cool. Instead of making the baby sit directly on the carpet, have it perched on a mat.

6. Cover baby's nails with socks: Itching and scratching can worsen the eczema in infants, so it is better to keep your baby's nails short and cover with socks or cotton mittens.

7. Diet: They can be allergic to some types of foods which can lead to eczema flare-ups. So, if you are weaning your child, introduce one food at a time and see if there is any reaction. Usually wheat products are allergic, so you can leave them out for later to see if what happens. To make sure that your babies are eczema-free, breast-feed them for at least for the first four months. You also have to look at the diet, you intake as a mother. Always check with your doctor about what kind of diet is good for you and your baby.
